WordPad and the Default Printer

I'm running Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC (May 2026) version 21H2, and for several years now, I've been experiencing an opening conflict with Wordpad and the Windows 10 default printer. When trying to open a document (.rtf), Windows 10 takes several seconds because of a strange conflict with the Windows 10 default printer. I've reported this problem many times and it's never been resolved. I understand that Windows 11 is now available and that WordPad has been discontinued, but I remind you that this little application works very well and is still very useful to me because you can click an active web link within the same document. Considering that Windows 11 is yet another computer science abortiveness (that only you at Microsoft managed to create along with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 8), you'll agree with me that holding on to a nice Windows 10 is like holding on to a gold bar.
