Post n° 15
For a few months, I've had the opportunity to test Stability Matrix, a program I also call "A Mish-mash of Uncertainties" because you don't understand what you're doing and you can never know what you can achieve. It should be noted that the languages used for these creations (with automatic algorithms) use completely anti-intuitive and counterintuitive terms. This is why you can't understand what you're doing.
Stability Matrix is a collection (or container) of other programs designed to generate images and videos with mathematical/arithmetic algorithms, but the way images and videos are obtained is something you probably can't understand even with years of training. It should also be noted that this program bundles many packages that originate from China (or the East), and therefore lack coherent and logical translations.
Beyond this, there are several other aspects that work very poorly in Stability Matrix: the software installs its packages without first checking the compatibility of the various installed elements. You risk wasting many minutes (and sometimes even hours) because you (in good faith) begin installing these packages, only to encounter numerous installation failures due to conflicts with various versions of Python and related programming languages.
Currently, most of the packages (and models) included in Stability Matrix are outdated and no longer updated. I personally installed over 100 GB of libraries (with Invoke AI) to (eventually) obtain images with deformed human bodies, similar to Perchance AI.
Last night I permanently deleted Stability Matrix from my PC because the latest update made the program quite cumbersome to open and run. In the end, I opted for the standalone version of Invoke, but I'm certainly not jumping for joy with this software either...
The advice I can give to Stability Matrix programmers (like those of Invoke) is to completely clean up the program and recreate it from scratch. Start by allowing downloads of reliable packages that install far fewer GB of applications and far fewer tons of GB of libraries, in order to obtain coherent, logical, and functional models. This isn't the current version, which is a jumble of tons of GB that yields decidedly mediocre results. Stuff from Civitai and Huggin Face that doesn't certify any good results on the installed products. In short, Stability Matrix needs to be rethought as a true ecosystem, not something that takes in all the scum present on the internet; something that filters good design (and good video animation) from the tons of "garbage libraries" circulating on these sites. This is essential to give Stability Matrix credibility, with a modicum of seriousness and reliability compared to how it is now. So I'm right to call this software Instability Matrix...
